New Mortal Kombat X controller mimics arcade machines

The latest Mortal Kombat game is due in 2015, and a new controller has been revealed for when it launches.

During the GameStop Expo last week a new Mortal Kombat X themed Xbox One controller was on display. Sporting a single stick and six buttons, with the menu buttons along the top, the pad is clearly for use with fighting games.

Iron Galaxy Studios' community manager, Alex Jebailey, shot the images below during the expo. He also states that the controller is being developed by Performance Designed Products, a company that designs and manufactures accessories for games consoles.

A PS4 package was also on display in the cabinet, but we're yet to see a physical example of the actual controller. An image of the company's previous fight pad for the PS3 is below for comparison.

The controllers are still 'pending approval', so they could still alter the design before they're released.

Mortal Kombat X was recently given an official release date of 14th April 2015, and pre-ordering the game will bag you Goro as a playable character on day one. MKX will be available on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. Thanks, Cinema Blend.
