Mourinho dubs Remy 'perfect' for second time in a week

Loic Remy

Loic Remy bagged an impressive debut goal against Swansea City yesterday.

After Chelsea allowed Fernando Torres, Romelu Lukaku and Samuel Eto'o to leave this summer they had to move for another striker to join fellow incomings Diego Costa and Didier Drogba.

Loic Remy saw a move to Liverpool collapse this summer and interest from Arsenal never seemed to get off the ground. It was looking as if the striker was destined to be stuck at QPR for another season.

But Chelsea then swooped in and snapped him up for a fee of £10.5 million, his release clause at the West London rivals.

And Mourinho has spoken about the move, insisting that Remy is the perfect option as his number three:

"Remy was almost on the last day but that was just a consequence of Fernando moving to AC Milan, a reaction to an unexpected situation. But, even so, the club was ready to give us a striker we like and that we believe is perfect to be one of our three."

And he has once again been highly praising of the French international, the word 'perfect' being used once more. After Diego Costa had bagged a hat-trick for The Blues Remy entered the fray later in the game, and popped up with a debut strike to make it four for Chelsea.

And Mourinho said of his goal:

"It's a perfect debut. No better start for the kid."

It makes you wonder, if he thinks Remy is perfect, what must he make of seven goals in four games Diego Costa.

Superhuman? Perhaps.
