Raheem Sterling says the club will 'bounce back' after defeat at Anfield.
Liverpool suffered defeat to Aston Villa at Anfield yesterday after a lacklustre performance against the Villans.
The goal came from Gabriel Agbonlahor early on in the game and it was a similar result to that that saw them lose to Southampton at home about this time last year.
It was certainly a poor result from the club, and Brendan Rodgers found himself criticised after the match because of his team selection, in particular the decision to rest their current star player Raheem Sterling.
The England international was left on the bench for the game as Rodgers decided to give him a rest after international duties and with the Champions League game with Bulgarian side Ludgorets Razgrad in mind.
But full debutants Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic struggled in support of Mario Balotelli. Now Sterling has been on Twitter, issuing a rallying call for their next fixture:
Time to bounce back starts now!!!!— Raheem Sterling (@sterling31) September 14, 2014
He was not the only Liverpool player to take to Twitter after the game. Daniel Sturridge, who missed the game with injury was also on the Tweet.
Liverpool fans will now hope to have these two back in action as soon as possible after this mini-setback.
