Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has been speaking ahead of the Reds’ Champions League match against Ludogorets Razgrad next week.
Liverpool returned to domestic action with a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday, but the Brazilian is already looking ahead to the next game.
In an interview with the club’s official website, the play-maker said, “I have heard a lot about the European nights at this club.
“I can only imagine the atmosphere will be fabulous, because it seems to me that the atmosphere at Anfield is always fabulous, even for ordinary games in the afternoon.”
Liverpool do not have it easy following their return to Champions League football.
Along with the Bulgarian champions, Brendan Rodgers’ side also has to face FC Basel and Real Madrid.
The Swiss side has a habit of making things difficult for English opposition, while the reigning European champions are arguably the toughest possible opponents given that they have strengthened even more this summer.
Not that Coutinho is short on confidence, with the Liverpool star believing his side can make it into the knockout stages.
“I believe we have a strong squad, new players have been brought in and we are in a good position to perform well in the Champions League,” he said.
