Mario Balotelli is likely to make his home debut for Liverpool today when the Reds host Aston Villa at Anfield in the Premier League.
The Italy international striker joined the Merseyside outfit from AC Milan for a reported transfer fee of £16 million last month.
The 24-year-old has already made his full debut for Liverpool, starting in their 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane just before the two-week international break.
Today, Balotelli is set to start at home for Liverpool and will be keen to step up in the absence of the injured Daniel Sturridge.
And if the former Inter Milan and Manchester City star’s previous record against Villa is anything to go by, then he will certainly be a force to be reckoned with.
Liverpool will be the favourites heading into today’s match, especially as Villa have won just five games at Anfield in the Premier League.
