Mario Balotelli’s rallying call ahead of possible Anfield debut

New Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has tweeted ahead of the Premier League clash against Aston Villa this evening.

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has taken to social networking site Twitter in order to rally the fans before today’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa at Anfield.

The Italian international joined the Reds from AC Milan towards the end of the summer transfer window for a reported fee of £16 million.

The 24-year-old made his debut for the Anfield outfit against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane before the international break as his side cruised to a 3-0 victory.

Despite not getting on the scoresheet that day, Balotelli will be tasked with providing the goals this season in the absence of former Kop idol Luis Suarez, who moved to Barcelona this summer after netting an incredible 31 times in he league for the club last season.

In the Premier League’s late kick-off, the former AC Milan striker could be in line to make his Anfield debut, and he took to social media site Twitter in order to post a simple rallying call to his new fans, saying: “Come on Liverpool! Come on guys.”

Balotelli had a previous spell in the Premier League with Manchester City where he netted 30 goals in 80 appearances in all competitions.

Whilst at the Etihad stadium, despite a number of controversies the talented striker played a key role in the club lifting the Premier League title in 2012.
