A collision between Nicolas Prost and Nick Heidfeld decided the inaugural Formula E race in China.

Heidfeld (Venturi Grand Prix) has chased down Prost (e.dams Renault) in the closing stages after the Frenchman had led for almost the entire event.

The German made a move at the final corner of the final lap, but Prost moved across on him, sending Heidfeld over the kerbs and into a huge accident (below). Prost subsequently denied seeing Heidfeld.

That allowed Lucas di Grassi (Audi Sport Abt), who had been some way back in third, to secure the series' first win. Franck Montagny was second for Andertti Autosport, with Daniel Abt (Audi Sport Abt) completing the podium.
