Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Saints boss non-commital over Schneiderlin, Pochettino backs Levy

A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has refused to comment on what might happen with Morgan Schneiderlin this winter.

Spurs tried more than once to sign the holding midfielder over the summer transfer window.

“We will see what happens in January. For now all I am focused on is the game against Newcastle on Saturday,” he’s quoted by the Star.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has backed the club’s chairman Daniel Levy, to find the club a new temporary home.

Spurs will be forced to play a single season away from White Hart Lane in 2017/2018 due to a dispute over their new stadium.

“Every single decision that the club makes is to improve the club and give better solutions or facilities to our supporters - It was my first time in Milton Keynes It's a very good stadium with very good facilities. Nothing more,” said Pochettino.

Pochettino has also backed the side to bounce back from the defeat against Liverpool with a win over Sunderland.

It’s been two weeks since Spurs were well beaten in front of their own fans by Brendan Rodgers’ team.

“It has been a difficult two weeks, but we are ready to play, to make a good game. We expect to be better [than against Liverpool] and win the three points,” he told the club’s website.
