Nottingham Forest youngster Louis Laing has been pictured smiling after completing a move to local-rivals Notts County today.

Nottingham Forest youngster Louis Laing was pictured smiling after completing a one-month loan to Notts County.

The youngster has been recruited by County as they look to improve their squad for their League One campaign this season and he joins up on a months-loan from their local rivals.

Laing joined Stuart Pearce's side this summer from Sunderland, but he hasn't been able to force his way into the first team at the City Ground so he has had to head down the divisions to get first-team football.

He joins Notts County after the Magpies have made a decent start to the season under Shaun Derry and the 21-year-old will be excited to be able to get some first-team football at Meadow Lane.

He played at League One level as a youngster with Wycombe Wanderers, but has not really tasted senior football since so this should be a good move for his development.

The imposing defender goes straight into the County squad who will travel to London Road tomorrow to face current third-division pace-setters Peterborough United.
