Let's cast our eyes back to this exact day, the 12th September 2014, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 12th September 2013…
The battle between Andre Villas-Boas and Emmanuel Adebayor at Tottenham began in earnest a year ago today.
The Togo striker was set to return to training with the club after a period of time off on compassionate leave, after the untimely death of his brother.
But AVB revealed that he would be training with the reserves upon his return. Adebayor went on to be a bit-part player for Tottenham until the Portuguese coach was sacked and Tim Sherwood pulled him in from the cold.
Ozil on title ambition
A year ago today and Arsenal's new signing Mesut Ozil was giving his first press conference as a Gunner. He had joined the club in a club record £42.4 million deal on Transfer Deadline Day and brought with him renewed optimism and hope over the future of the club.
It even had some fans believing that Arsenal might just be able to throw together a decent title challenge.
"Of course. I know the team, I know that talent we have here and I think every player wants to be successful. It will be difficult because this is the strongest league in the world."
Arsenal went on to be top of the table more than any other team last season. But a poor spell toward the end of the campaign saw them finish in fourth place.
Liverpool Sturridge fury
Deja vu? A year ago to the day and Liverpool were nursing Daniel Sturridge back to health, after he picked up a thigh injury on international duty.
Fast forward a year and a furious Brendan Rodgers is dealing with exactly the same situation, although on this occasion he is expected to be out for an even longer period of time.
