Manchester City morning news: Richards reveals City regret, Zabaleta wary of Gunners summer signing

A round up of news stories this morning about Manchester City.

Micah Richards has revealed he doesn’t think he was given enough chances to impress at Manchester City.

The right sided defender joined Fiorentina on loan during the summer transfer window.

“I feel as though I could have been given more chances to play because I felt like I had improved and that I could do it at that level having shown that I could already,” he’s quoted by the Daily Star.

Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta has described Arsenal summer signing Alexis Sanchez as a big threat.

The Argentine has praised the attacking qualities the Chilean has ahead of the match against the Gunners tomorrow.

“Sanchez is a very quick, sharp player who can play wide or as a striker, but I feel he is most dangerous when he is on the flanks - He also works very hard for the team, especially when they don't have the ball,” said the defender.

John Guidetti has spoken about his frustrating career in top flight football so far.

The 22-year-old secured a last minute move to Celtic at the back end of the summer transfer window.

“What’s unfair is that I did well then I was injured for two years. It is difficult to fulfil something when you’re not even playing. You can’t say, ‘he’s not good any more’ when the reason is injury,” he said.
