Adebayo Akinfenwa of AFC Wimbledon has been revealed as the strongest player on the popular FIFA gaming franchise for the second year running.

Adebayo Akinfenwa has quite a cult following due to his size and appearance and has carved out a relatively successful career in the Football League. The 32-year-old's most prolific seasons have come with Northampton Town and Gillingham, and he has had two separate spells at each of the aforementioned clubs.

One accolade that he does seem to be very proud of is being named as the strongest player on the computer game FIFA for the second year in a row. FIFA 15 is released on Friday 26th September but Akinfenwa had been eager to find out whether he still remained at the top of the rankings.

EA Sports tweeted to reveal that with a strength rating of 97 he has successfully beaten off the likes of Yaya Toure and Wilfried Bony.

Akinfenwa weighs around 16 stone despite not reaching six foot in height and the striker has said that he switches to 'Beast Mode' when he is on the pitch or training. He was happy to be named the strongest player on FIFA once more and revealed his delight on Twitter thanking a few along the way.

If you can manage to get Wilfried Bony alongside Akinfenwa in your Ultimate Team's on FIFA 15 this year then you will have a formidable strikeforce!
