Giovinco renewal dragging on, will Arsenal or Spurs try in January?

The future of Juventus forward Sebastian Giovinco remains unclear and Italian newspaper reports suggest Arsenal and Tottenham may be lurking.

While Sebastian Giovinco is back in the Italian national set-up, he is still to sign a new contract with Juventus and could be lured away in January.

The diminutive forward has been stuck in limbo after an extremely promising start to his career and talks over a contract extension remain thorny.

Although Massimiliano Allegri has replaced Antonio Conte as coach, it remains to be seen whether Giovinco's chances of getting first-team football improve.

Ironically, Conte, who primarily used Giovinco as a back-up, chose the Atomic Ant for his squads to face Holland and Norway, giving a glimmer of hope for a return to regular national football.

According to Tuttosport, Premier League sides are again eyeing Giovinco, knowing that he may be unsettled and could be a bargain if he doesn't agree a new deal with Juventus.

Arsenal and Tottenham have both been repeatedly linked with Giovinco in the past and he could be seen as a useful winter reinforcement.

However, Tuttosport insists that Juventus have no intention of selling the homegrown talent and expects the club to make a concerted effort to extend his contract beyond June 2015.
