Manchester United youngster Adnan Januzaj has been speaking about the qualities of summer signings Angel di Maria and Marcos Rojo.
Argentina international winger Di Maria joined the Red Devils from European champions Real Madrid for a club-record £59.7 million last month, while his compatriot Rojo moved to the Manchester outfit from Sporting Lisbon for a reported transfer fee of £16m.
Di Maria has already played once for Louis van Gaal’s side, starting in their goalless draw with Burnley away from home in the Premier League before the two-week international break.
The 26-year-old is a versatile footballer who can play as a winger as well as more centrally as an attacking midfielder.
Rated as one of the best players in the world, the former Benfica star was key in Madrid’s 10th Champions League triumph last season and was also crucial in Argentina’s march to the final of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil in the summer.
‘I like him [Di Maria], he’s very good technically and he is a very good passer’, Januzaj told Squawka.com. ‘He’s a clever player’.
Meanwhile, Rojo has yet to make his debut for United having only recently received the clearance to play in England.
But Januzaj already knows what to expect from the 24-year-old Argentina international defender, who can play at left-back and at centre-back.
‘[I have also seen] Rojo’, said the 19-year-old Belgium international attacker. ‘He’s a very good player. He is a good defender because he is really relaxed on the ball’.
Di Maria and Rojo both are expected to feature for United on Sunday, when they host Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League.
