Southampton may have lost plenty of players in the transfer market this summer, but they did not do a bad job of replacing them.
They snapped up the likes of Graziano Pelle, Dusan Tadic, Fraser Forster, Ryan Bertrand and Shane Long this summer and on deadline day made two more quality additions.
Toby Alderweireld arrived on a season long loan deal from Atletico Madrid whilst they splashed £10 million on Red Bull Salzburg's impressive forward Sadio Mane
And it looks like they have snapped up one hell of a talent. He was the man-of-the-match in a recent win for his country against Egypt in African Nations qualifying last week and he was again on fire yesterday as Senegal brushed aside Botswana.
They won the game 2-0 and it was the Southampton newbie who bagged the first goal of the game, scoring in the 34th minute with his effortless trademark cool.
Dame N'Doye bagged the second with just six minutes left as Senegal and Tunisia took the early initiative in the African Nations Qualifying Group of Death.
Mane now has an impressive record of six goals in 16 games for his country and Southampton fans will be looking forward to seeing him in action against Newcastle United this weekend.
He is not likely to start after his exploits in Africa this week, but he comes into the game in a rich vein of form - so expect to see him make an appearance at some point.
