JJ Abrams hints the Empire could be striking back and Star Wars spacecraft get spotted from the air.
With not much longer to wait now for the physical production of Star Wars: Episode VII to start Twitter has been hotting up with leaks and teases.
Episode VII director, JJ Abrams tweeted the image below this week. While the note in the foreground refers to the newly-revealed Apple iWatch, (hopefully completely un-Star Wars related) it’s the background which has got people talking. As you can see in the image, what appears to be the interior of the Death Star can be seen. Are we being overzealous to assume this is a sign the Empire are returning in the new film? Take a look and let us know what you think.
Meanwhile a picture taken from the air over the Star Wars set on Greenham Common shows the Millenium Falcon and an X-wing fighter.
Spotted by aviator Matthew Myatt, the Star Wars spaceships were originally thought to be experimental aircraft. Talking later to the BBC Myatt said, It wasn't too clear until I viewed the picture and then realised what it was. I grew up with Star Wars so I started jumping around."
Star Wars: Episode VII is to hit cinemas in December 2015, the film will be reuniting cast members from the original trilogy, including Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher.
