Arsenal's five new summer signings have been pictured together for the very first time.
News of an £80 million spree of signings would have whet the appetite of Arsenal fans heading into the summer, and this is what it looks like.
Arsenal's five new summer signings were pictured together for the first time after training on Thursday, each wearing their new kits.
They included Calum Chambers (£16m from Southampton), Danny Welbeck (£16m from Manchester United), Mathieu Debuchy (£10m from Newcastle United), David Ospina (£4m from Nice), and Alexis Sanchez (£35m from Barcelona).
Add to the mix Joel Campbell, returned from a year long loan at Olympiakos, and there are enough fresh faces around the club to drive the familiar ones on.
So has Arsenal's summer business been a success? Largely it has, each addition is a sensible one, with Debuchy replacing the departed Bacary Sagna and Welbeck in for the injured Olivier Giroud. Alexis Sanchez's signing was one which created headlines around the world.
There are still gaps though which were not addressed. Namely Thomas Vermaelen's departure at centre-back, means there is increased pressure on Calum Chambers, with Nacho Monreal unconvincing so far when played in the position, when either Laurent Koscielny or Per Mertesacker are out.
A defensive midfielder is still missing, and fans realistically, were hoping for a more glamorous centre-forward than Danny Welbeck.
As a whole the club have improved, and should be very happy, but if they do fall short at the end of the season, one of the above reasons are likely to be why, rather than bad luck.
