Manchester United latest: Blind happy wherever he plays, Falcao future depends on goals

Radamel Falcao

The latest Manchester United transfer news, views and rumours.

Daley Blind

New Manchester United signing Daley Blind says he will be happy 'wherever he plays.'

The versatile Dutchman, who moved to United from Ajax for a fee of £13.8 million this summer, can play both in defence and midfield, while he played in Louis van Gaal's 3-5-2 system as a wing-back during the World Cup.

That was during international duty with the Netherlands but Van Gaal has continued with the same formation during the early days of his United reign.

Wherever Blind plays, however, the Dutchman says he will be do his best and, first and foremost, is at Old Trafford to play regular football.

"For me it's important I can play in both positions - defence and midfield," he told reporters.

"I want to play and if it's on the left or in defence or in midfield, it's up to the coach. I try to do my best wherever I play."

Radamel Falcao

Meanwhile, Radamel Falcao's Manchester United future depends on how many goals he scores, according to reports in Italy.

Indeed, it is suggested that United's loan deal for the striker will be made permanent for a fee of £35 million - if he plays 15 games and scores five goals for the club.

Falcao's wages will reportedly be £11.2m a year after tax with £2.4m in bonuses on top.

The Colombian was unveiled at Man United earlier today and could be in line to make his debut against Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.
