Confirmed: Aston Villa v Arsenal under-21 line-ups - Diaby starts, again!

Trinity Road Stand - Aston Villa

Arsenal star Abou Diaby makes his second start in as many games for the under-21 side against Aston Villa.

Aston Villa under-21s: Hill, Leggett, Stevens, Cowans, Kinsella, Toner, Abdo, Calder, Drennan, Sellars, Robinson

Arsenal under-21s: Martinez, Bellerin, Hayden, O'Connor, Ormonde-Ottewill, Maitland-Niles, Diaby, Coquelin, Crowley, Zelalem, Akpom

Aston Villa will be looking to build on a hard earned draw away at Blackburn in their last game.

Villa are still searching for their first win in the under-21 Premier League this season, but they have conceded fewer goals than Arsenal and could steal a result if they manage to keep things tight.

Arsenal’s attack is in great form heading into this game after scoring four goals in the win against West Brom in their last game.

That match saw Joel Campbell playing up front for the Gunners, which shows how useful this competition can be for more established first team stars to impress Arsene Wenger and get some form under their belts.

Arsenal already have a three point lead at the top of division two and will be looking to extend that gap over their man rivals as well as maintaining an unbeaten start to the season.
