Former Real Madrid director Jorge Valdano says Jose Mourinho would only be considered a great manager if Pep Guardiola didn’t exist.
Mourinho has had several battles against the Spaniard throughout the years with the pair previously opponents in La Liga.
“If Guardiola is Mozart, then Mourinho is Salieri. He would be a great musician if Mozart did not exist,” he wrote in his book.
France coach Didier Deschamps has warned Loic Remy against falling asleep at Chelsea.
The striker’s national coach has suggested he’ll be under constant pressure to fight for his place at Stamford Bridge.
“At the club he's just moved to, with the boss he'll have, Remy better not fall asleep. Loic Remy needs to be more aggressive, he'll need to work hard for Mourinho,” he told the Mirror.
Former England boss Fabio Capello says Chelsea are one of the favourites to win the Champions League this season.
The Blues have assembled a squad throughout the summer, which is capable of fighting on all fronts this campaign.
“In the Champions League tournament, it’ll be hard to beat Bayern Munich and Chelsea, however the Spanish clubs can do very well,” said the Italian.
