Celtic latest: Deila reveals effect of break; McGregor on next aim; McInnes not fazed by Bhoys' strike-force

We bring all the latest news about Celtic, including Ronny Deila's words ahead of this weekend's game against Aberdeen.

Ronny Deila needed to time to reflect

Celtic manager Ronny Deila says that he needed the international break to give him some time to reflect on the start that he has made as the club's manager.

Deila has seen the pressure grow on him after the Bhoys' failure to qualify for the Champions League and he took time out over the break to visit family back in Norway.

It was something which has made him feel refreshed and ready to go again ahead of his side's match against Aberdeen this weekend.

"It was important to get some reflection as it's been 10 stressful weeks with a high intensity," he said.

"So to get some days off and reflect on where we are and where the road is going has been nice and I'm looking forward to the games now."

Callum McGregor reveals next career aim

Celtic youngster Callum McGregor says that scoring in the Champions League was a dream come true for him, but he already has his sights firmly set on the next target he wants to accomplish in his career.

McGregor came through the youth system at Parkhead and has been one of the side's stars in the early part of the season, and the youngster says that he wants to play in a match against Rangers now he's broken into the first-team set-up.

“I would love to play in an Old Firm game," he revealed. "I grew up watching Celtic v Rangers games on TV.

“It would be an unbelievable experience to sample one. If Rangers manage to come back up then that will be on the cards next season.”

Derek McInnes not fazed by Celtic's new attack

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes says that he is not fazed by Celtic's new-look strike-force, which he will face this weekend.

Celtic brought in Stefan Scepovic and John Guidetti towards the back end of the transfer window and both could make their debuts against the Dons, but McInnes insists his side will be prepared.

“Although we have not seen Scepovic or Guidetti playing in a Celtic jersey I have seen them playing for their previous clubs," he said.

“I have enough footage of them both to see what we will face."
