Eden Hazard has praised Chelsea new boys Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa, claiming that they will help bring trophies to Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian winger displayed impeccable form last season, winning the PFA Young Player of the Year award, and ending the season as the Blues' top scorer and assist provider.

His World Cup campaign was largely disappointing, as the 23-year-old failed to live up to his own high expectations, although he has started the current season as he finished the last.

And it appears as if Hazard knows who is to thank for his scintillating run of form, claiming that new boys Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa have taken the pressure off him. Quoted on Goal.com, the forward praised the duo - who have been two of the best performers of the Premier League campaign.

The 50-capped international declared: "It's true they're the best players. Costa can score every game and Cesc is one of the best midfielders in the world.

"Cesc can score as well and make good assists, just like the first game against Burnley where he made a beautiful pass for Andre Schurrle. It's very important for the team and he can help us win.

Whilst a key part of the Chelsea attack who have netted 11 times in three games, Hazard is keen to return to what he does best - assisting his teammates.

"Last season I scored a lot of goals and maybe this season I can make a lot more passes forward because Costa is one of the best and he can score. It's my job to score but it's also my job to make assists as well. I can now concentrate on assists.

"I'm ready to be better than last season. When I'm on the pitch I try to give my best."

With all the new players, Hazard is certain the the West London club will be able to compete for four trophies, having failed to win anything last season.

"The new players have settled in very good. I enjoy playing with the best players in the squad and I'm very happy. We have a very competitive team and we want more than last season. Last season we played good but we didn't win any trophies so we want more.

"We can win four trophies and I hope we can compete in the two cups, the Premier League and Champions League for a long time throughout the year.”

Blues fans have been delighted with how their team have started the season, and with the knowledge that a player of the quality of Hazard is in awe of the recent arrivals, they will surely understand just how talented their first-team squad is.
