Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will be delighted with the performance of £10 million star Emre Can last night, as the midfielder shone in a huge win for Germany against Romania.
The Liverpool man produced three assists in a staggering 8-0 win for the German youngsters, which is made all the more remarkable by the fact he doesn’t play in an attacking position.
Can is yet to make his first Premier League start for Liverpool, featuring as a sub twice so far in his short Anfield career.
He’s done enough to show Rodgers that there is more to his game than simply sitting and holding in midfield, as he showed good vision and a dose of common sense to make converting chances easy for his teammates last night.
Liverpool take on Aston Villa this weekend but Can may have to wait a little longer for a regular chance, although with the Reds playing a substantially higher number of games compared to last season, he will get his chance at some point.
Take a look at highlights of his performance below.
