Borussia Dortmund have suffered another injury blow, this time relating to midfielder Jakub Blaszczykowski.
The Bundesliga's official website yesterday confirmed the 28-year-old has been ruled out for one month with a hamstring injury sustained on international duty.
He had just returned after suffering a knee injury in January, and was hoping to feature for the German side with Nuri Sahin sidelined for two months.
Star player Marco Reus also suffered an ankle injury while with Germany last week, which is certainly damaging to their plans to get this year's Champions League campaign off to a good start.
Dortmund host their biggest group rivals Arsenal next week, who will hope their midfield can capitalise on the depleted German side.
Aaron Ramsey has been more fortunate, his ankle injury sustained with Wales is seen as one he can get over in time for even the Manchester City game this weekend, while Arsene Wenger is expected to speak on the status of Mesut Ozil within the next 24 hours.
