PICTURE: Holtby in great spirits with Hamburg teammates

Tottenham Hotspur owned Lewis Holtby doesn't appear to be in bad spirits following his loan exit from the club.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lewis Holtby doesn’t appear to be missing White Hart Lane too much as he gets to know his Hamburg teammates.

Holtby joined Bundesliga side Hamburg on the final day of the transfer window as he looks to do enough to convince Mauricio Pochettino that he can still play a big role in the Spurs first team on his return.

Fortunately for Holtby, he’s German so the transition back into Bundesliga football has been slightly easier but he’ll still be waiting to meet a lot of his teammates because of the international break.

The official English strain of the Bundesliga Twitter feed shows him in great spirits as he chats with new teammates Julian Green and Matthias Ostrzolek, ironically against what appears to be the equivalent of a London bus.

Holtby has struggled for game time so far this season, making just one substitute appearance for Spurs and he’ll be keen to hit the ground running and build some momentum before returning to North London when his loan deal expires this May.
