Arsenal have been hit by bad luck generated by the international break as Aaron Ramsey limped off after Wales’ 2-1 win in Andorra.
Rambo went down clutching his ankle and Wales boss Chris Coleman said it was too early to tell how significant the injury problem was.
“He got kick on his ankle and twisted it - Hopefully he'll be okay for Arsenal at the weekend but we'll have to see what the next 24-48 hours holds,” said Coleman.
Unfortunately for the Gunners, the match against Manchester City this weekend is the early kick-off, which limits the amount of time Ramsey has to recover from the knock.
His chances of doing so will be good if he has just suffered an impact injury and nothing more serious.
Arsene Wenger is due to hold a press conference tomorrow morning, around 09:15, ahead of the game where he’s likely to be pressed over the state of Ramsey’s fitness and other key players ahead of the game.
Should he not be available, it’s a huge loss for the club considering he’s already in fine goalscoring and passing form already this season.
Fingers crossed for Arsenal fans that he’s fit and ready to take part come lunchtime on Saturday with plenty of Gunners likely to be happy to see the back of another international break.
