Javier Hernandez reveals who he thinks is better: Messi or Ronaldo

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, who is currently on loan at Real Madrid, has been speaking about one of the biggest debates in football.

On-loan Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has been speaking about the comparisons between Lionel Messi and his new Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

In quotes initially given to El Chiringuito and later published by Football Espana, the Mexican international had his say on the debate that has got many a football fan flustered down the years.

But while some people struggle to opt for one over the other, the United player had no such difficulty.

“Cristiano is better without a doubt,” he said. “You’d have to be mad not to think that because he is the best. Messi is good but he is behind…”

The United striker will no doubt be hoping the Portuguese international sets up plenty of goals for him in what could be the first of many seasons at the Bernabeu.

Real have the option to sign Hernandez from United permanently next summer, and following the arrival of Radamel Falcao it is no surprise Louis van Gaal allowed the 26-year-old to move on.

He will be hoping it is a fresh start, and given his goal-scoring record at United, the Spanish giants may have bagged a bargain.
