The transfer window may be closed but with contracts expired and expiring club's are still on the look out for the odd bargain or two.
Although, this often tends to bring up the odd bizarre link here and there. We have had Mario Yepes and Nikola Zigic to Arsenal for instance - two deals that seem very unlikely.
Now there is a reported Bosman deal in sights which would also be a surprise. Everton and Southampton are reportedly keeping tabs on 29-year-old Tunisian midfielder Mejdi Traoui, according to Sky Sports.
He is currently under contract at Tunisian side Esperance Tunis, but that expires next summer, and the 41 caps Tunisian international has reportedly caught the eye of two Premier League outfits.
However, this deal would indeed seem very odd.
Firstly, a quick glance on the internet suggests that Traoui has only played one game for Esperance in 2014. His previous spell in Europe was a miserable time at Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg, where he couldn't buy a game.
His agent Jesse Learoyd-Hill, himself from the UK, has stated there is English interest in his client:
"There are a number of clubs both in the UK and in Europe who are interested in Mejdi. Mejdi is coming to the end of his contract at Esperance and he has not made a decision on his future as yet."
That may well be true. But Everton and Southampton - that seems a little far-fetched.
