The man dubbed 'Gabigol' aka Gabriel Barbosa Almeida could be set for a future move from Santos to Barcelona.

Barcelona could have another Neymar on their hands, if recent reports are to be believed.

So far, in 2014, Gabriel Barbosa Almeida - an 18-year-old from Sao Bernardo do Campo in Brazil, has returned 16 goals from 31 appearances in all competitions for Santos.

The forward made his competitive debut two years ago, aged 16, and since then has represented Brazil at Under-17 and U20 level.

Now, he could follow in the footsteps of Brazil icon Neymar by moving to Barcelona as the Camp Nou club have secured the "preferential rights" of the precocious talent.

According to the Daily Mail, Gabriel and his agent Wagner Ribeiro are discussing a contractual extension with Santos as the player's current deal expires next year. However, within the next few years he may well end up competing in La Liga.

"Someday I hope to become a Barca player," he recently said. "I've dreamed of this since I was little, from the moment I started playing football."
