There's no escaping the Xenomorph in Alien Isolation

Alien Isolation Screen 3

Game on track to meet October launch date, developers want to know how you’re going to survive in the meantime.

One title we’ve been keeping an eye on, Alien Isolation has gone gold today kicking off a new trailer series in the process.

The game is trying hard to emulate the look and feel of the original Ridley Scott Alien film, bringing in a ruthless Xenomorph hunter with some advanced AI that’s going to be chasing you down. With an emphasis less on killing things and more on outsmarting the alien on your trail, Alien Isolation promises some survival horror with a good tense atmosphere driven by the constant dread of being hunted down.

A new series of trailers is also coming up for Alien Isolation looking at the different ways you’ll be trying to survive in the game. Accompanied with the hashtag #howwillyousurvive?, developers Creative Assembly note the new series of trailers will be, “showcasing many of the unique ways that players will discover that surviving the creature, and the world of Sevastopol, means learning a whole new set of skills.

“In Alien: Isolation, the creature is hunting you. If it hears you, it will track down the source of the noise; if it sees you, it will pursue at speed; tackling it head-on is not for the faint-hearted. It’s ruthless, relentless and unstoppable. Which makes us ask, #howwillyousurvive?“

The first trailer titled No Escape is below, it's a good example of how not to do things.

Alien Isolation lands on 7th October for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3, while you wait you can join in with the Alien Isolation survivalist discussion on Twitter
