Calum Chambers has been awarded the Arsenal Player of the Month prize for August, an honour midfielder Aaron Ramsey won an astonishing four times last season.
The 19-year-old received 34.8% of the total votes and just edged a fellow summer signing Alexis Sanchez, who received 33.4% of the votes. Ramsey placed a distant third with a 17.2% tally of the total votes cast.
A £16 million signing from Southampton, Chambers was believed to have been earmarked as a prospect for the future as he struggled to even establish himself in the Saints set-up.
However, the teenager has slotted seamlessly into the Arsenal first-team, has competed in Champions League football, made a hat-trick of Premier League appearances and even convinced England manager Roy Hodgson to not only call him up to the senior Three Lions squad - but give him his debut, against Norway on September 3.

In Premier League football alone, Chambers has proven to have a reliability and efficiency in his work that belies his age.
In August, he received a touch on the football once every 1.04 minutes, returned a passing accuracy of almost 94% and was prolific when it came to completing defensive contributions.

Chambers, though, was not the only one in the running for the club's in-house player of the month award as Alexis Sanchez, too, saw a lot of the football, proved to be a menace with the ball at his feet and even opened his goal-scoring account for his new club.

Ramsey, also, has performed excellently for Arsenal - and his statistic of 118 touches on the ball for a per game average is almost akin to the most graceful midfielders in world football like Toni Kroos and Xavi.
Ramsey averages making 97 passes each game, produces a clear goal-scoring opportunity twice in every game, hits the target with 40% of his shots and has already scored twice from ten shots.
