Liverpool striker Fabio Borini may not be in the Italy fold at the moment, but he is still following the fortunes of his country from afar.
The 23-year-old, who joined the Reds in the summer of 2012 and has earned one cap for the Azzurri, was quick to congratulate the Italy Under-21 side on winning the UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 9 on Tuesday.

The Azzurrini were in imperious form against Cyrus as they won the match 7-1 to book their place in the playoffs, the draw for which will be made on Friday.
Cyprus took a surprise lead at Teofilo Patini in Castel Di Sangro just before the half-hour mark, but the Italians scored twice thereafter in the first half to take a 2-1 advantage heading into the break.
The hosts stepped up their game in the second half and netted five unanswered goal, with Samuele Longo among the scorers.
That match was played prior to Italy’s clash against Norway in Euro 2016 qualifying Group H, which is currently underway at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo (click here to read more).
