Transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio believes that AC Milan are plotting to snap up Liverpool youngster Suso for free, a deal he believes would be a 'masterstroke' for the Italians.
Suso, who has represented Spain at every youth level, seems to be happy working under Brendan Rodgers, but there is repeated speculation that Milan are looking to snap him up.
Reports in Italy state that the 20-year-old has already given his provisional go-ahead to moving to Milan at the end of the transfer window with an eye to leaving Liverpool in January.
The player's father has allegedly insisted that Serie A is the best place for his son's development and is pushing for a transfer.
It is most likely that Suso will wait until June 2015 when his contract expires, but Di Marzio suspects that he could try and buy out the remainder of his deal in January to expedite a move.
Di Marzio says that the move could be genius from AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani and could rival Juventus snatching Paul Pogba after Manchester United let his contract expire.
Pogba was allowed to leave Old Trafford for free in July 2012 when Sir Alex Ferguson didn't offer him a new contract. Juventus pounced and he is currently one of their prized assets, valued at over £30 million.
