Glen Johnson's time at Liverpool could be coming to an end and Juventus are reportedly getting ready to contact his agent.
The Italian champions are said to be looking for someone to replace Swiss international Stephan Lichtsteiner, whose relationship with the club is believed to be frosty.
The paper reports that Liverpool have made no moves towards a renewal and Johnson could become a free agent, giving Juventus good leverage to make a January approach, which they are currently putting together.
The Old Lady could secure Johnson for a bargain price and he may be a valuable extra resource if Juventus are still fighting on domestic and European fronts.
Fellow Serie A side Napoli are also reported to be keen on Johnson with Rafa Benitez being very familiar with the player.
Alternative options for Juventus include Ignazio Abate of AC Milan and Barcelona's Dani Alves, who are both also nearing the end of their contracts.
Juventus swooped to sign Patrice Evra when he became unsettled at Manchester United and could be looking for a similar kind of deal.
