New Xbox games this week include Destiny and NHL 15

Microsoft's consoles receive a trio of titles to bolster their catalogue of games, including Bungie's Destiny and NHL 15.

Last week it appeared only the Xbox One received any new games, and Minecraft dropped in on the console at the end of the week to everyone's surprise.

This week in the Xbox game releases we see Bungie and Activision's Sci-fi MMO Destiny arrive, along with EA Sport's NHL 15 and Bandai Namco's Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution.

First up we have Destiny, which launches worldwide on Tuesday 9th September, and is expected to pull in around 10 million players on its first day. The game has been highly-anticipated since it was revealed back in 2012 via leaks of Destiny's plot and concept art. I think it's safe to say the charts next week will have Destiny atop its lofty throne, and if they don't I'll eat my imaginary hat. If you're still a little unsure whether you should buy the game or not, check out our review of the beta, or you can wait until our review of the full game is up in the coming weeks.

Also this week we've got NHL 15 which is the first game in the NHL series from EA Sports to be released on next gen consoles. Finally we have Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution, a fighting game set in the Naruto universe and a sequel to Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 released in 2013.

This week’s Xbox releases are as follows:

NHL 15 - 9th September US, 12th September UK

Xbox 360
