If he misses the clash with Arsenal, the forward could miss key games against Bayern Munich and Chelsea.
Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic is a doubt for weekend's trip to the Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal on Saturday according to a report from an outlet in Montenegro, saying he has sustained a hamstring injury.
The forward has been in impressive form for the Premier League champions so far this season after building on some promising form during the side's pre-season tour of the United States.
The report says the 24-year-old forward is likely miss tonight's Euro 2016 qualifier against Moldova after he limped out of training holding his leg.
Jovetic has started all three games for City so far this season, and has shown much of the promise that led to the club signing him last summer. The forward scored twice in City's 3-1 win over last season's runners-up Liverpool in the second game of the season.
After an injury-hit campaign last term, he has shown several touches of class - and looked to be in line to start against the Gunners on Saturday alongside Sergio Aguero.
The blow couldn't really have come at a worse time for City given the difficulty of their upcoming fixtures. Following their trip to Arsenal are tough tests against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in midweek in their Champions League opener, before hosting Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.
Naturally, Manuel Pellegrini hopes the injury isn't too serious, especially as it would see his side down to two strikers given the injury to Alvaro Negredo as well.
