Leeds United made several top quality signings during the summer transfer window and this is a first chance for some of them to pull on the white shirt of the famous English club.
Leeds will be confident going into this match against Ipswich Town because they have made a good start to the under-21 Professional Development League and currently sit in third place in their division.
The side hasn’t been spectacular at either end of the pitch with four goals scored (lower than the two sides above them) and three goals conceded, the joint second best in their league.
This is a great chance for youngsters to get some game time and impress any new manager who comes in to takeover the first team, plus it provides a platform for more established stars to improve their match sharpness.
It won’t be an easy match because Ipswich have a watertight defence, which has conceded just a single goal so far this season. They also sit third in their league but have played one game less.
