A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino reportedly maintains an interest in Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin.

That is the claim of the Daily Star Sunday, which suggests Spurs will face competition from Real Madrid if the player is back on the market in January.

The Colombian has found a second home in the gossip columns but it appears he could follow in the footsteps of players before him who are constantly linked with here, there and everywhere but never actually move on.

In other news, Wales boss Chris Coleman has been speaking about Tottenham’s summer signing Ben Davies.

In quotes published by Wales Online, Coleman has been talking about the fact that Davies will have to force Danny Rose out of the side to get his chance.

“Danny Rose has not done anything wrong, but all players have a bad day, and when he does and Ben gets his chance we know he is good enough,” Coleman said.

“It may take him time but I have no doubts he will make it work and play a lot of games for Tottenham.”
