Tottenham Hotspur's Academy side won the under-18s Champions Cup this weekend.
Tottenham Hotspur's under-18 side won the Champions Cup on Saturday as they overcame Benfica in the final.
Tottenham had defeated Everton and drawn with Real Madrid earlier in the competition, and the result means Spurs win the two-day competition that took place during the international break.
Loft is a 17-year-old forward who netted twice in the 5-1 victory over Everton earlier in the competition.
While Tottenham fans may bemoan the lack of Premier League football due to international commitments, they can take heart from the fact that their young players had a very productive two days and leave the competition with both the silverware and the plaudits.
Speaking after the final, Tottenham’s under-18s coach Kieran McKenna told Spurs’ official website what he thought of their performances.
“The boys have worked really hard over the last two days and since the start of pre-season in general,” McKenna said.
“Their application has been very good. They’re delighted to win the tournament and I’m very pleased for them.”
