Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski has been playing for the Germany national team since 2004 and won the biggest prize in football in July – the World Cup.
But the 29-year-old still very much enjoys playing for his country and is relishing the chance of featuring for Die Mannschaft against Scotland on Sunday.
Germany’s training is in full swing ahead of their Euro 2016 Group D clash against the Scots in Dortmund, and Podolski is loving every minute of it.
On Friday, the Arsenal star posted the following photo on Instagram with the message: ‘I absolutely love this environment, can do this everyday and would never be tired #Training #Football #Soccer #NationalTeam #Focus #DFB #Team #Poldi #aha #LP10’.
A number of Germany’s 2014 World Cup-winning players have retired from international football after the triumph in Brazil, including Philipp Lahm and Per Mertesacker.
However, it does not look like Podolski is going to follow them anytime soon, and he will continue to play for Germany.
