Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Fazio's strange ban, Konoplyanka plans revitalised

A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Federico Fazio has been banned from ever returning to Sevilla’s stadium.

The Spanish club are thought to be irate about the circumstances, which led to his departure leading the club’s president Jose Castro to ban him from ever returning to the club’s home ground.

Fazio will now have to seek an alternative venue to say his goodbyes after he reportedly planned a return to leave things on a positive note with his former employers and fans.

Tottenham are reportedly eyeing a January swoop for long term target Yevhen Konoplyanka.

The Star suggests that Spurs will try and do a deal this winter and that the player could leave for free when his contract expires next summer.

Liverpool and West Ham United are also reportedly interested in deals.

Tottenham’s quartet of Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele and Nacer Chadli all tasted wins during the international break.

France won 1-0 at home against former world champions Spain while Belgium were comfortable 2-0 winners at home against Australia.

The international break has provided the players with a chance to maintain their levels of match fitness and sharpness.
