PHOTOS: Sir Alex Ferguson re-united with Arsenal old foe Arsene Wenger

Manchester United and Arsenal legends re-united.

They were once the bitterest of rivals, but now Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson are old pals with much respect for one another.

At the heart of one of English football's most gripping rivalries in recent times, the Arsenal and Manchester United bosses led their teams to success, at the expense of each other in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Over the latter decade Arsenal fell out of the silverware hunt, with Sir Alex Ferguson adding five league titles and one Champions League after the Gunners beat United in the 2005 FA Cup Final.

The duo were re-united this week at a UEFA technical committee forum, for many of the game's top managers and leading figures to share ideas and discuss ongoing issues in football.

Ferguson was also seen chatting with former Chelsea boss, and Real Madrid's reigning Champions League winner Carlo Ancelotti.
