Microsoft's Xbox One owners can now get in on the block building action.

Following the news earlier in the week that the Xbox One version of Mojang's sandbox game is due to arrive today, that time has now come, and Minecraft Xbox One Edition is available to download on the Xbox Games Store.

It's the same Minecraft players are familiar with, but with added enhancements such as bigger worlds, said to be 36-times larger than the 360 version's, and an expanded draw distance. You can play with up to four people via split-screen, and up to eight online over Xbox Live too.

If you own the Xbox 360 version of the game you can buy the Xbox One version at a discounted price. There's also the ability to transfer your saved worlds from the 360 version to the Xbox One version, which is demonstrated in the video below. An Xbox Wire update also gives further details on the game, so check it out.

Minecraft Xbox One Edition costs £13.59 ($19.99), but if you already own the Xbox 360 version it will cost you just £3.99 ($4.99).
