Report: Falcao’s text message to Juventus

Manchester United's new recruit Radamel Falcao was very close to joining Juventus and La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported on a text he sent the club.

Juventus missed out on signing Radamel Falcao despite their concerted efforts on deadline day, but the striker has offered the Italian champions some hope for the future.

Falcao was wanted by a host of top clubs, including Arsenal and Manchester City, but Manchester United secured his signature on a season loan.

Turin giants Juventus had been hoping to swoop and seemed to have made a good connection with Falcao, which appears to be confirmed by a text the Colombian is said to have sent to the club.

La Gazzetta dello Sport has printed a message that was reportedly sent to Juventus directors Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici.

"Thanks for everything. It would have been an honour to play for Juventus, maybe it will happen in the future," Falcao reportedly declared.

It is well known that Juventus were close to signing Falcao and while fans may be disappointed, this message suggests that Falcao may one day play for the Old Lady.

Juventus are hoping to welcome back summer signing Alvaro Morata to their attack after the international break, which will reduce the need for Falcao.
