PHOTO: Manchester United star Anders Lindegaard reflects on years gone by

Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard seems nostalgic about the years gone by at Old Trafford.

Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has been taking a trip down memory lane.

On Thursday, the Denmark international posted the following photo on Instagram with the message: ‘Many players ago... #tbt #oldtrafford #mufc #manchesterunited #evra #scholes #giggs #owen #nani #34’.

Looking at the photo above, United fans as well as other football followers will indeed feel nostalgic.

Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs have both retired from professional football, with the latter now the assistant manager at United. The duo are two of the greatest footballers of all time and have won multiple honours, including the Champions League.

Michael Owen has also retired from the game and is now a well-known football commentator. The former England international played for the Red Devils for three years between 2009 and 2012, and won the Premier League and the League Cup once each.

France international defender Patrice Evra departed United for Juventus this summer, while Nani moved to Sporting Lisbon on a season-long loan deal.

As for Wayne Rooney, the 28-year-old still remains a vital part of the United team and is now the new captain under manager Louis van Gaal.
