Red Dead dev team advertises new positions causing speculation we’ll be treated to a sequel
Following the news that Rockstar are working on a next-gen title for 2015, signs have been spotted online that the game in question could well be a sequel to the horse-riding, gun-toting western open world adventure Red Dead Redemption.
As unearthed by Play, Rockstar San Diego, the studio that brought us Red Dead Redemption are currently hiring for 37 new positions, a fair indicator that development is being ramped up for a new game.
Rockstar has also previously said that they see Red Dead as an ongoing franchise as opposed to a one off, which combined with the job postings has us very hopeful for a Red Dead reprisal.
Meanwhile Rockstar’s PS3 cold war espionage adventure Agent looks to have been cancelled, although we remain hopeful that this is because the game is now to be aimed at 8th gen consoles.
The next releases from Rockstar that we can report with certainty will be the ports of Grand Theft Auto V for PC, Xbox One and PS4, which although rumoured to be set back to 2015 are said to be on course by the developers.
