Manchester United's British record signing dazzled in a friendly for his country last night against the World champions.
Manchester United star Angel Di Maria showed just why the club splashed out £59.6 million to bring him to Old Trafford after a terrific display during Argentina's 4-2 win over Germany in Düsseldorf on Wednesday.
The British record signing scored once and was involved in the other three goals as the South Americans dismantled the World Champions, by racing into a 4-0 lead, in a rematch of their World Cup final - though the friendly win is little consolation for the Argentines.
United fans were certainly impressed with what Di Maria showed. After showing flashes of his quality on his Manchester United debut in a 0-0 draw against Burnley at the weekend, there was more on display last night - and not surprisingly his performance caused a suitable amount of excitement on twitter.
The fans will be hoping he can replicate this same kind of form for his club over the coming weeks and months as the club looks to improve on its stuttering start to the season.
