Derby County were handed a big boost yesterday with the news that midfielder Jeff Hendrick won’t need surgery after dislocating his shoulder against Ipswich.
The 22-year-old had been tipped to go under the knife for his shoulder injury, which would have kept him out for a prolonged periods but reports have now tipped him to return to action by the end of the month.
Hendrick took to Twitter to reveal his delight over the news and told fans that he can’t wait to get back into action for Steve McLaren’s side.
Derby have had a decent start to the season, rising quickly to a position just beneath the play-offs thanks to two wins, two draws and one defeat from all games so far.
Hendrick has been a key part of that positive start to the campaign, making seven appearances across all competitions with back-to-back goals from his first two games of the season.
How important is Hendrick to the current Derby side?
