Exo abilities, customisation options, maps and gameplay modes discussed
A new video for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare highlights what’s upcoming with the multiplayer.
As the video notes, the fundamentals to the CoD multiplayer will be expanded upon with new robust movement options common to recent first person shooters the likes of Titanfall and Evolve. Courtesy of new exo suit tech, players will be able to perform boost jumps, double jumps, boost slides, dashes and dodges, all giving variation to combat.
In addition players can make use of exo abilities such as cloaking, hover mode and a tactical shield.
Deeper customisation options than before will also be included, with loadouts following a similar model to the Black Ops 2 Pick 10 system, upped to Pick 13 for Advanced Warfare, along with scorestreak options for the first time in the series.
The video (shown below) also shows a taster of some of the game’s maps with reference to how exo-suit vertically options have informed some of the designs. Finally, modes coming in Advanced Warfare get a mention, many fan favourites will be returning and the new Uplink mode is shown, in which players can throw around a satellite drone giving the multiplayer a basketball-like spin.
