Manchester United are reportedly hoping to fast-track Radamel Falcao’s visa application in order to have the Colombian striker available for their next match, against Queens Park Rangers on September 14.
The AS Monaco player arrived on loan at Old Trafford on transfer deadline day, and now the Daily Mail reports that the player could secure a working visa from the British Consulate in Miami.
The 28-year-old is currently with his national team as they prepare to face Brazil in a friendly in the USA on Friday and Falcao reportedly must have an interview before such a visa can be issued.
The report claims United do not expect to face any issues securing the relevant documentation to enable the striker to make his debut in a little under two weeks.
United have not started their Premier League campaign as they would have hoped, earning just two points so far in draws against Sunderland and Burnley, after slipping to an opening day defeat at home to Swansea City.
But a player who has scored a remarkable 191 goals in just 292 appearances will be expected to help fire United back up the table as soon as possible.
QPR may not be looking forward to the prospect of being the first side to come up against the surprise summer arrival.
